Program Overview

The advanced Master of Arts in Education with Teaching Technology from East Bridge College has been specially curated to provide trainees with an in-depth knowledge in the field of education in an endeavour to make them proficient in areas such as designing 21st century classroom, fostering digital literacy, curriculum development, academic management, educational assessment, evaluation etc.

This program will help candidates explore various tools and technology for edifying today’s digital learners. Technology is empowering both students and teachers alike. Modern day teachers are expected to be tech savvy and schools across the globe favour educators who are aware of the latest developments in teaching technology and can make learning relevant to the digital requirements of the learners thus preparing them for the days ahead.

Contemporary smart classrooms and virtual classes are a reality now which necessitates teachers with modernized know-how in teaching and learning technology to make students’ learning journey a fun and engaging experience, exploring ways which is way beyond a brick-and-mortar school. Learning Outcome

A degree in Master of Arts in Education with Teaching Technology aims at providing trainees with the ways to get a grip on the technological aspects being used in the classroom to engage today’s learners. The course digs deeper into the vast field of using IT in the classroom as smart classrooms and online classes are already a reality and requires educators to be abreast with teaching and learning technology to inspire learners to be in sync with technologically evolving scenarios in the field of education.

Upon completion of the Master in Education with Teaching Technology, trainees will be able to:

  • Provide the best practices during online teaching sessions, virtual teaching and student engagement by integrating the latest tools and innovative ideas.
  • Connect with technology to create an effective classroom environment with a thorough foundation in the fundamentals of IT in classroom such as presentation stations in class, surfing the internet, keyboarding and word processing, integrating reading technology and blogging, Wikis and writing technology integration.
  • Critically evaluate the current trends in the practices of classroom instruction and curriculum development and put that knowledge appropriately into use in the classes.
  • Understand advanced aspects of integrating technology in the classroom and design suitable lessons for today’s digital learners along with confidently creating a classroom culture that is supportive of the technology use which will stimulate the students.
  • Structure learning and lessons by integrating the right technology and creating an engaging virtual classroom for the learners. Developing activities, creating visuals and delivering presentations as per the curriculum.
  • Understand the technical aspects of virtual classrooms which will benefit both students and teachers in the learning and teaching process with an understanding on how far the teachers wants the technology to go and what he/she wants it to do.

Admission Requirement

  • Candidates willing to enrol requires a recognised graduate degree in any field / equivalent level
  • Life Experience and prior learning credits are also applicable
  • Requires English proficiency with a level of - IELTS Level 5.0 or High School study of all subjects in English or at least 55% marks in English in your High School
  • Knowledge of internet and browsing, MS Word and online research skill is required

Program Requirements

All our Master program under Faculty of Education has four distinct part:

  • Part One – Foundation Course which comprises of 10 credits and 1 Subject
  • Part Two – Core Program comes with 30 credits and 6 Subjects
  • Part Three – Specialization of Subjects comes with 20 credits divided into 4 Specialized subjects
  • Part Four – Capstone Project which is a reflective research work comprises of 30 credits

To receive a degree in the programme of study the student must achieve the following:

  • Complete and successfully pass Foundation, Core, Specialization and Capstone Project as prescribed in the programme specification.
  • Obtain a mark of 50% and above to satisfactorily pass each subject as the Capstone Project.
  • Complete the full programme of study in minimum duration of 12 months, and a maximum duration of up to 36 months. After 24 months duration from enrolment date, the student would need to pay a maintenance bench fee for additional months of extension.
  • Students can attend 6 Live Online Webinar Sessions during the year and use one of that as a Capstone Project to complete a reflective paper.

  • 4. Mastering Virtual Training and Virtual Presentations

Capstone Project (30 credits) - Choose 1

  • 1. Prepare a paper on any one topic of by attending a one live online webinar from EBC – 5000 words
  • 2. Attend any seminar in Education in your region and create a reflective paper on the same – 5000 words
  • 3. Research Paper – Creating an engaging virtual class for primary learners – 5000 words

  • 1550 GBP – If paying from UK or EU
  • 68,000 Thai Baht – If paying in Asia

All fees include tax. Fees include all: Program of study, LMS access, study guide, evaluation and assessment, diploma and transcript. Refund Policy

Once students register for a course, they are responsible for dropping any course they decide not to attend.

  • Once you have enrolled in the program and you wish to immediately pull out before any access has been granted - 50% of the tuition fee will be refunded
  • No refund for students who have received course access and have already started off with the program from EBC
  • Read all Terms and Conditions before making payments
  • Processing of refunds make take up to 3 months

Scholarship

East Bridge College offers tuition scholarships and financial aid for its online learning degree programs. The tuition scholarship fund for distance learning degree programs will be granted depending on the policy and the Dean’s office from time to time. Upon request, EBC may offer you: Academic Scholarship, Athletic Scholarship, Creative Scholarships and Community Service Scholarship.

Certification

  • Candidates successfully completing the program will be awarded a globally recognised certificate from East Bridge College (EBC)
  • The term ‘Online’ is not mentioned in the degree certificate
  • EBC is registered in the USA (Delaware), United Kingdom (London), The ASEAN Region, Thailand (Bangkok)
  • All EBC learning degrees can be issued and legalized in USA and Thailand
  • Degrees from EBC can be internationally legalized with The Hague Apostille (for Hague signatory countries) or Embassy Legalization (for Hague non-signatory countries)
